From the Proceedings of the 1992 International Symposium on Railroad-Highway Grade Crossing Research and Safety, 1992, this paper addresses the needs of drivers at passively controlled (crossbuck only)railroad grade crossings. Because of the relatively low probabilities of vehicle-train collisions at these crossings, only low improvements can be justified. Effective low-cost improvements are suggested. Photocopy.
