Additional Information / Summary:
The intent of this book is to give the technical writer what Strunk and White, in the Elements of Style, gave the general writer. Both presume that the writer has some basic knowledge of English grammar, usage, and style. Both give rules and principles of writing in common areas of misuse. The underlying principles woven into this text are to always be clear and concise, to prefer the concrete to the abstract, to never use five words where one will do, to use small words in place of multi-syllable words, and to revise, revise, and revise.
